Testimony

My name is Josephine, and I’ve had the honor of serving in and out of the church for over 25 years. I began teaching the Bible to my friends at the age of 9-years old. By the time I was in in my twenties, I started in prison ministry, and fell in love with teaching the Word of God. There’s something powerful about bringing hope into places where it feels like all hope is gone.

To me, serving others is an honor. It’s a privilege to walk alongside people as they unpack trauma, confront past wounds, navigate seasons of pain, and face the unknown with courage and strength—anchored in the truth of God’s Word. 

While I hold a Bachelor's degree in Theology, what has shaped me most is time spent at the feet of Jesus. I know—without question—that He saves, He heals, and He delivers. I’ve witnessed lives transformed, bodies healed, and minds restored. God is faithful, and His power is still at work today.

Hardship has never been a stranger to me. I’ve survived childhood rape. I’ve endured family tragedies and lost family members to violent murders. I’ve lost loved ones to drug overdoses and suicide. I’ve wrestled with the heavy chains of depression and anxiety and it is only because of the power of Jesus Christ that I have been delivered and set free.

At the start of 2024, I suddenly lost hearing in my left ear and some in my right. I was later diagnosed with a rare and debilitating disease that not only took my ability to hear well but also severely affects my balance and vestibular system. While praying for healing, the Holy Spirit brought Matthew 10:27–28 to my mind "Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."  I believe the Lord was encouraging me to continue to proclaim His Word and fear Him above all. 

As my condition worsened—leaving me bedridden and stripped of my independence—I found myself mourning my own life, even though I was still here. I was absent, yet present. Alive, but grieving the parts of me that once thrived.

Through each of these hardships past and present, I’ve come to understand profound truths about God's character, nature, power, and love. As I continued to pray and believe for healing, I once again heard the voice of the Holy Spirit.

"Love me, honor me, and revere me. Don't worry about what is happening to your body. Love what I love and hate what I hate, let my thoughts be your thoughts and my ways be your ways. I am purifying you and burning out of you all that is not of Me. Purification happens in the fire, the testing of your faith proves its genuineness as you are placed over the fire. Don't be afraid or dismayed, I AM is with you. What the devil tried to destroy you with, I will use to bring you closer to Me, and I will be glorified, dress my Bride and make her ready, encourage those I send you, speak life over what is dead, declare My Word, Your life is not your own, make My name known..." 

We don't always understand why we face the things we do in life, but I’ve learned that God has a way of turning mourning into dancing, tragedies into triumphs, and dead things to life.

Salvation is a free gift. Jesus laid down his life so that you can be set free from the power of sin and death. John 3:16 says " For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." 

Jesus Christ is returning soon for His Bride. Are you ready? 

"Let us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us give Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has prepared herself." Revelation 19:7
